About Our Boarding Facility |
|||||
The boarding facility at Rosebud River Ranch is among the very best in the Pacific Northwest. Our 29 stall main barn and our smaller barn nearby are both immaculately maintained; stalls are cleaned daily along with large water buckets and hay feeders in each of those stalls. Salt licks are provided in each stall and in each pasture. Horses receive attention from our professional staff and from our reliable vets and farriers. Boarders are welcome to use their own vets and/or farriers. Our 2 tack rooms are located at the front and center of the main barn with ample room for saddles and tack. We have a clean, well-stocked medicine and feed room and a clean, convenient restroom, also located in the main barn. Additionally, a hot-water wash rack area is located at the center of the main barn, lined with slip-proof matting. We also provide an enclosed structure near the arena with a refrigerator, microwave and sofas so boarders can warm-up in the winter and keep cold drinks on hand in the summer. A large deck has been added by the boarder's cabin adjacent to the arena for picnics, relaxing and watching the action in our Olympic-sized covered arena. And...we have a clean bathroom located at the center of the barn...just a few steps from the arena...with a nail brush! Some boarders say this is their favorite thing about the ranch!
Rosebud River Ranch provides daily turnout in our large, well-groomed pastures except in the most inclement weather conditions. Even in bad weather, horses still get outside in paddocks located behind each of the stalls in the main barn and are typically given a small 'lunch' in the middle of the day when they are not turned out to pasture. All the horses are hand walked in and out when they are turned out in their pastures, keeping them attuned to human companionship and allowing our staff to check the condition of each horse at least 5 days per week. We also give each horse a pasture buddy, so even if you can only make it to the ranch on weekends, your horse has constant companionship. We do have a fee schedule for extra services including grooming and training if boarders are unable to provide these things themselves. One question we are asked frequently is whether we only board 'gaited horses', the ones we breed at Rosebud. Rosebud is home to all sizes, colors and breeds of horses. We currently have our gaited horses along with Morgans, an Arabian, some Pasos, several Thoroughbreds, and several Paints. So everyone is welcome here!
Boarding does not include fees for worming or for regularly required vaccinations. Rosebud River Ranch has veterinary care from the vets and staff of Northwest Equine who render these services to boarders provided they are signed with that service. Boarding includes quality grain and hay and a regular supply of salt in the horse's stalls and pastures. Additional supplements must be provided by the individual boarder. Our staff will make sure your horse receives all supplements. Our rates are competitive with other fine facilities. Our current boarding fee for the services described above is $575.00 per month. Rosebud requires owners to fill out a boarding document and we will provide applications for services from Northwest Equine Veterinary Services. We also use the services of Rainland Farms Equine Clinic, one of the finest in Washington State. We also have a large, lighted arena perfect for nighttime enjoyment during the winter months and perfect for warming up prior to going out on the trails. The arena measures 200 x 70 feet (20 meters x 60 meters), the same size as an Olympic dressage facility. Additionally, we provide a round pen for training and workouts. Boarders are welcome to bring their own trainers to the ranch for individual lessons and training; they must provide proof of insurance to Rosebud management.
Our 80+ acres of property offer several trails, ranging from a quarter mile to a mile and a half, which means you can have a nice ride through forests, streams and waterfalls without even leaving the Rosebud property. And — an increasingly rare find — our ranch is located with immediate access to lovely, unending trails in the Cascade foothills, including ones maintained by King County and connected to the John Wayne trail to Eastern Washington. In fact, there are only two public roads between our ranch and the Canadian border, which means you can really ride out of the country if you’re so inclined.
We're just across the road from the Snoqualmie River, which means a refreshing dip for both horse and rider on warm days.
