The name 'Rosebud'
is generally regarded as emblematic of security, hope and
the lost innocence of childhood, sought to be regained. It is the paradox of
seeking that which we know we cannot attain, but nonetheless continue to pursue; it is the
yearning a child has that adults learn to suppress. 'Rosebud' is more than a name
. . . it is an essence of one’s soul . . . it is a place others may glimpse by
