About Our Training Staff

Rosebud River Ranch has several area trainers who work with our boarders on an ongoing basis and are available for hire for riding and ground-training lessons. Fulltime staff members are available on a limited basis to assist with some training, grooming and behavior questions.

We offer several training programs, tailored to foals, mature horses and both novice and experienced riders who are looking to fine-tune their skills. Being trained to ride a gaited horse is a neat thing, even for experienced riders. We show you how to forget all that uncomfortable compensation you had to do on a non-gaited horse — and how to really relax and enjoy a smooth ride. Before long, you may even be able to ride bareback and feel really, really secure.

Gaited horses offer such a smooth ride that — once you're trained — you'll have an instant increase in comfort, and be able to enjoy longer rides and cover more ground than you ever thought possible.

You'll even be able to go out dancing after a day on the trail (and you'll feel like it, you're going to have so much fun on your Mountain Pleasure Horse).
